This Is The Voice Of Your Conscience Mix

After being deeply inspired by Sen. Bernie Sanders’ filibuster/long speech on Friday, UFOverdriver worked quickly to make use of it in a sound collage. The goal was to capture the moment and preserve it in a form that would highlight long, uninterrupted stretches of his speech.
Sen. Bernie Sander began his speech at 10:25 AM and ended it over 8 1/2 hours later at 6:59 PM. Many of us who watched it as it happened felt we were watching a historic moment.
This sound collage is composed of 5 parts/tracks; with a short introduction, the beginning of the filibuster, a short interlude, another uninterrupted segment of the speech, and then the conclusion.
Enjoy!

Individual Track Listing
Track 1 (03:30) Fortress America Is Waiting For A Message Of Some Sort Or Another
Fortress America Is Waiting For A Message Of Some Sort Or Another can be heard as a sound collage of this moment in time of social confusion and directionless fog – both in Washington DC and for the voices on TV.
Note to President Obama, “Suzy Creamcheese, what’s got into you!”
Track 2 (09:24) Mr. Sanders Goes To Washington – Part 1
Both Mr. Sanders Goes To Washington – Part 1 and Part 2 contain long stretches from the speech. Mr. Sanders Goes To Washington – Part 1 is from the beginning of the speech at 10:25 AM
You can call what I am doing today whatever you want, you it call it a filibuster, you can call it a very long speech. I’m not here to set any great records or to make a spectacle. I am simply here today to take as long as I can to explain to the American people the fact that we have got to do a lot better than this agreement provides. – Sen. Bernie Sanders
Track 3 (03:21) I Am Equality 7-2521
I Am Equality 7-2521 provides a short interlude with a piece from an audiobook of the novella Anthem by Ayn Rand
Track 4 (10:30) Mr. Sanders Goes To Washington – Part 2
Mr. Sanders Goes To Washington – Part 2 is from the middle of the afternoon.
[ From Senator Sanders Facebook page - Posted by staff ] Bernie is in his 6th hour of speaking on the senate floor. Still going strong…
Track 5 (02:42) After 8 And A Half Hours, Truth Yields The Floor
The sound collage ends with After 8 And A Half Hours, Truth Yields The Floor which includes the conclusion of Sen. Sanders’ speech and some closing statements from the Department of Civil Defense.
If the American people are prepared to stand – and we’re prepared to follow them – I think we can defeat this proposal. I think we can come up with a better proposal which better reflects the needs of the middle class and working families of our country and, to me, most importantly, the children of our country. And with that, Madam President, I would yield the floor. – Sen. Bernie Sanders

Note
After the speech, both my wife and I were inspired to write the White House – here’s my email to the President:
Dear Mr. President:
I hope you will choose to stand with Sen. Bernie Sanders and the brave stand he took today to call out the moral hypocrisy of supporting continued tax cuts for the ultra-rich while making cuts to crucial government programs.
Please remember that most Americans, and the people who voted for you, expected that you would be the one with the brave oratory and outrage like we got from Sen. Sanders today.
If only you could be so bold, Mr. President.
Respectfully,
Jon, onehumanbeing
